Coronavirus blocked in Uganda but at what price?

Another 3.15 million will fall below the poverty line thanks to the lockdown

There have been no recorded coronavirus deaths in Uganda and only 1,025 confirmed cases, according to the World Health Organisation.

In fact, all over Africa the figures are minimal compared to those in Europe – Spain with 28,403 deaths on July 14, 2020, the US – 134,704 deaths – and Brazil – 72,100 deaths.

Musicians young and not so young sing their hearts out for Uganda!

Last Saturday, Nómadas Solidarios held a mini music festival in the finca Entorno Doñana, el Boalo, to raise funds for Adelante África which runs a children’s home for abandoned kids in the west of Uganda as well as running a secondary school  other initiatives including a community tourism project. The money is also to go to materials for the primary school in Kibingo, Uganda, where we volunteered in July.

Many of us 1wonder what makes psychopaths. David Cameron, Prime Minister of Britain from 2010 to 2016, became popular in Scotland for allowing the Scots to have an independence referendum in 2014. The Scots voted ‘no’. End of story, at least for now.

Many regions or states have tried and failed to break away from the country they ‘belong’ to. But, unlike Britain, their constitutions make referendums on the 1issue illegal. Texas wanted to be separate from the US in 1869. More recently, Veneto wanted free of Italy and Bavaria of Germany – their demands for a referendum were refused in 2015 and 2017 respectively.

There are a number of ways to live longer: you can give up smoking, take exercise, eat healthily and less. You can even 1ditch sex – apparently eunuchs live 14 years longer than 2average.

Since 1900, we have gained almost 50 years. While most Spaniards lived to 35 in 1900, they can now hope to get to 83. So it seems only natural that we should be trying to extend our lives again by another 50 years – to say 130. Or does it?
